Ein französischer Immigrant hat Fragen zum deutschen TÜV

  • Hallo, ich heiße Patrick, ich bin aus Paris in Frankreich, und ich wohne seit 2 Wochen in Berlin. Ich suche hier eine Vespa Cosa 200 zu kaufen. Ich habe einen Roller im Internet gefunden, aber der ist ziemlicht alt : kein Kennzeichnen und kein TüV.

    Ich bitte um Hilfe, um zu kennen, ob es schwer ist, ein neu TüV zu erhalten ?
    Außerdem, wie viele kostet ein neu TüV? Wie viele kostet ein neu Kennzeichnen?

    Ich spreche schwer deutsch, also, wenn ihr auf mich auf englischer Sprache antworten, das ist mir angenehmer.

  • also Tüv ist kein Problem, wenn Licht, Blinker, Hupe, Bremse Funktioniert
    TÜV mit Abgasgutachten ca 100 Euro
    TÜV is no problem, when Light, indicator, horn and brake works. TÜV and exhause emission test around € 100.--

    I´m not sure how busy he is at time being. He´s from Berlin, give him my regards.
    He should be able to help you with TÜV, license plate and maybe also insurance.

    The Berlin scooter drivers meet every fortnight on Wednesday. Maybe you should go there for a beer :D

    The vespa worth 350€.
    I have to give an answer before tonight. I don't have any tool here in Germany, so any necessary reparation would be executed by a Garage, with [color=#0]Arbeitszeit[/color].

  • if its a go and (the most important thing on a cosa!) brakes well the price is ok so far
    a pitty it had been robbed for some rare cosa mk1 parts

    TÜV will need mirrors and the clamps for the hubcab shoud be removed (Ben-Hur-Style is not a good one on public roads ;) )

    I don't know "fußtank" or something like this, I didn't really understood. It's made out of foam (DE : "Schaum" ?)


    Besides,


    • Should I worry about rust on the exhaust?
    • The roller has 40.000km and wasn't use for 3 years. Should I worry about gaskets ("Dichtung"?) and bearings (Kurbelwellenlager, usw) ?
    • The brakes works at 0km/h (I don't know how they behave in dynamics because we didn't start the engine), and the brake levers seems good. Does it mean that the hydraulic braking system is healthy (especially the BremsZylinder)and without leak?

    • Der Motorroller ist 40.000 Km und ist seit 3 Jahren nicht gefahren. Soll ich mich für die Dichtungen und für die Wälzlager beunruhigen?
    • Der Motorroller bremst im Stoppen. Garantiert das eine Fluchtabwesenheit im Bremssystem?

    no, not in that state ;)

    bearings should be fine, gaskets may be a problem, but there is only one way to find out ...

    if it runs, ill drive it, i don't like takeing apart an engine that is running
    change the oil, put in a new sparkplug and clean the carb, most times thats enough

    hey, even if some say it isn't, it's a vespa! more a tractor than a bike, they are quite hard to kill ;)

    it is a good sign, change the brake fluid (use DOT 3 NOT DOT 4!!!) very soon and try it, its a bit of a gamble, but the only practical way to test this ...

  • 350 bucks sound like a fair price to me. Compared to the PX 200 which are around 1200 for the same condition, you are better off with the Cosa. Go for it. If it fails send Fettkimme a message, I bet he will help you.
